Swimming Pool And Spa
Owning a pool or spa can make a home feel like an exotic vacation destination every day. But before you can make your first splash, you have to know your options. In terms of pools, there are two basic types above-ground and in-ground.
Above-ground pools are much less costly but offer much less flexibility. In fact, they usually only come in two sizes, round and oval.
In-ground pools may be a bit more expensive, but in terms of sheer luxury, they can't be matched. They can be lined with vinyl, fiberglass, or concrete. Vinyl is less costly and is smooth and nonporous. Fiberglass is delivered in one piece so design options are somewhat limited and getting the pool to a home can be difficult, but it is very durable and long lasting. The most adaptable, concrete is a bit more expensive than the other two choices, but it offers the best ability to add extras such as waterfalls and grottos.
Hot tubs, also known as outdoor spas, are a perfect complement to an in-ground pool and are often placed on an adjoining deck, though they can found inside the home as well. They come in all kinds of styles with acrylic shells of every color imaginable, countertops in granite or marble, and cabinets in an array of wood stains.
Some hot tubs provide relaxation from low-pressure jets, while others are designed for a full workout. You can choose between bench seating and massage chairs, and other bells and whistles may include LED chromatherapy lights, built-in refrigeration, and flat-screen televisions.
