1. How does our service work?

We have created an extensive database of High Quality registered contractors in every area in the US. Our internet tools offer a bridge connection between you and the professional services needed. By submitting your project & contact information we will match you with up to 3 service providers in your area — this service is free of charge since we are paid by the contractors.

2. What is our screening process?

Our screening process consists of 3 major points:
1. Every professional must have a valid license, assuring his capability of providing the trade services he specializes in. The Contractor must have a clean record without any claims.
2. Proof of insurance policy is required, and is to be presented to our representatives. The policy is being reviewed by our staff. The policy must be valid for at least 2 months from the date of registration.
3. The Contractor is presenting 3 valid references. Valid references consists of projects that have been completed within one year of the registration date & must comply with our client satisfaction chart below

Satisfaction chart:
  • The Contractor preformed the project according to the agreement.
  • The Project was completed in time.
  • The Owner is satisfied with the services provided.
  • The Owner is pleased with the results & recommends the professional to other people.

3. How many contractors will I be matched to?

We are committed to making your total experience a positive one. Upon entering your information and the request for which you would like a service professional for, we will provide you with up to 3 service professionals in your area interested in fulfilling your service need. However, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to match you with the service pro’s due to the contractors availability at the time of your request.

4. What is the cost for these services?

This service is Free, Fast & there is no obligation on your side. Our professionals pay an advertising fee to be a part of our network and to get matched with home owners like yourself asking help with their project. These fees will not affect your estimate.

5. What areas do we service?

At the moment we service the greater Southern & Northern California area. In the future, as we grow our business, we expect to expand our services by connecting people nationwide. 6. How do I know I’m getting the right service professional?

Our upscale screening process allows us to understand the specific trade of every professional in our database. This is essential for our staff to determine which professional is right for the area of service needed and the required skills to perform your project with the best results. It is the owner’s responsibility to check a contractor at hiring time to determine his abilities, see our link to best hiring process.

7. What happens if your contractors do not contact me?

Our contractors are obligated to contact you within 48 hours. However, sometimes it may take up to 4 days until all professionals will contact you. If you do not receive any response within 72 hours, please contact us, our staff is ready to serve you Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm pacific time.

8. Do you contact me during the project?

Yes we do. To improve our services, we will contact you during the estimation process and even after the project is complete, in order to make sure we have helped you the best way we can and to check that the project was completed to your satisfaction. Contactorus.com is tracking constantly the contractors’ performance through our own inquiries and information provided to us by home owners. Any information received about a miss conduct of one of our professionals will be investigated. If a contractor is responsible for conducting an unacceptable workmanship or service, his account will be suspended or revoked, unless issue was resolved. In any case Contactorus.com is not responsible for the services provided by our professionals. Please read our terms of use for more information.

9. I understand that some professionals do not have a license?

Every service professional is authorized by the state or local government to work within his or her trade or profession. Some trades or projects do not require a license — for example: handy man services. Projects that do not exceed $500 do not require license. License requirements will vary from state to state.
